Homoeopathy for infantile spasms: An open label, single arm, clinical trial

Background: Treatment of infantile spasms (ISs) with allopathic medicines along homeopathy is poorly understood in context the seizure profile, psychomotor outcome, and electroencephalogram (EEG) changes. Objectives: The objective study was to evaluate role homeopathic treatment control, development, EEG changes patients IS. Materials Methods: An open label, single-arm, clinical trial conducted. Patients found eligible were enrolled (n = 30) given individualized intervention conventional medicine for 3 months. Follow-up assessment done weekly based on 7 points: Sense well-being, cognitive behavior, activity level, ictal period, hypsarrhythmia, speech, gross fine motor development.
